Reports and metrics: where to find what

Why	Get an honest map instead of a “Reports” module: HotelsCalendar has no separate reports module — the metrics live on the dashboard, the Planner, and the Finances screen.

“Reports” is an everyday request, and the honest answer in HotelsCalendar is: there is no separate reports module. The numbers are not gathered into a dedicated section — they live on the working screens where you already spend your day. That is not a gap but a layout: a number is most useful where the decision is made — on the shift, at the Planner, in the money. Below is the map: which question — which screen.

No reports module — and that’s honest

The dashboard: the day on one screen

The dashboard answers “what is happening today”: five cards of the day — “Arrivals today”, “Departures today”, the cards for who is currently in the house and how many rooms are free, and “Needs attention” — plus the shift task queue and quick actions. There are no arrivals lists with columns here — each card leads with a button to where those bookings live: “Open bookings”, “Open the Planner”.

Occupancy

There is no occupancy percentage anywhere in the system — not on the dashboard, not in the Planner. Instead there are absolutes: the “in-house right now” and “free rooms” cards on the dashboard; in the Planner, per-category counters like “Single Room · 5/6” (how many of the category’s rooms are taken by bookings in the selected period) and the booking count next to the date range.

Money

There are no summary totals on the “Finances” screen: the “Money movements” tab is a journal of operations with quick filters by payment method, not a totals screen. The money totals live outside “Finances”: “Balance due” in the Planner and “Needs attention” with its debt on the dashboard.

Sources and export

A booking’s source is visible in the “Bookings” list: in the compact view — a separate “Source” column with the channel’s logo and name, a dash for direct bookings; in the card view — the status and the source on one line, for example “Confirmed Booking.com”. To pick out one source’s bookings, use the “Source” filter in the advanced filters. There is no per-channel summary table, though: a source is an attribute of a booking, not a separate screen.

The data can be taken out as a file: “Export CSV” opens the “Export bookings to CSV” dialog — “Arrival from” and “Arrival to” date fields, a “Source” filter, and the passport data toggle (guests’ passport details enter the file only if you switch it on), up to 5,000 rows. This is an export, not a summary: a file of bookings, not a report.

What is missing — and how to live with it

• No occupancy percentage. Count from the absolutes — occupied and free rooms on the dashboard, the per-category counters in the Planner; one step to the percentage: occupied rooms divided by all rooms. More in Occupancy.
• ADR and RevPAR are not calculated. The system does not produce an average daily rate or revenue per room — if you need them, compute them by hand from the “Money movements” journal and the occupancy numbers.
• No period summaries in “Finances”. There is no period picker on the tabs, and the journal does not export to a file — money for a month is collected by paging through and adding up by hand. The approach — in Money.
• An arrivals list cannot be printed. There is no list-printing function in the system; the closest substitute is the “Arrivals today” preset in the “Bookings” list.
