What is a guest portal

A guest portal for hotels — in plain words

Guest Portal is a hotel's guest portal: a self-service page where the guest, via a personal link from their booking, sees the whole booking — rooms, nightly prices, taxes and the balance — orders services, uploads documents, and their questions reach the hotel's Inbox. It is not a guest Wi-Fi login page and not an app: entry is by link and code, in the phone's browser. It is also called a guest service or an online concierge.

Who gets what

Four views of one portal

Owner

services — without the desk — guests order services for their booking themselves, the order is already in the price

Receptionist

questions — into one shared queue — a question from the portal sits in the Inbox next to email, not in a personal messenger

Guest

the whole booking in their phone — nightly prices, services and the balance via a personal link, no password

Multi-property manager

a subscription per property — each property has its own portal, in one account

+ The nuanceA guest question arrives in the shared Inbox queue; your reply goes to the guest by email and also appears in the portal. It is a question-and-answer format, not a messenger thread.
